*Important information regarding the use of magnetic mount Beacons, Lightbars or any magnetic device mounted to a moving vehicle.
Before using a magnetic mount product on a moving vehicle, the following factors noted below should be carefully considered by the user. Each factor will to varying degrees contribute to magnetic adhesion being reduced and the potential for the device to become detached from the vehicle posing a risk to other road users and public.
1. The higher the speed that the vehicle is travelling the greater the force that will be exerted on the beacon.
2. Headwinds, crosswinds, turbulence from other vehicles and forces exerted when cornering, accelerating and braking may exert sudden unpredictable forces on the beacon
3. The surface condition of the vehicle roof due to the presence of water, ice or road contamination will reduce magnetic adhesion and may act as a lubricant that could cause the beacon to slide
4. The use of rubber or neoprene protective magnet caps to prevent the scratching of the vehicle roof will reduce magnetic adhesion
5.The thinner the gauge of metal used in the manufacture of the vehicle the lower the magnetic clamping force available.
Response Vehicle Lighting Ltd does not recommend the use of any magnetic mount device on the roof of a moving vehicle including devices with speed ratings. To do so is at the sole risk and discretion of the user. We do not take any responsibility for damages made to the product, user or third parties due to neglect or incorrect maintenance, fitting, use or storing of any products supplied by Response Vehicle Lighting Ltd.
